STEW – A Vinyl Cookbook

Publication Design, Photography, brand identity & Packaging design

Cooking and music go hand in hand, and the right soundtrack can transform time spent in the kitchen. For this project, I created the identity and promotional merchandise for STEW Records, presented as the first issue of a vinyl-inspired cookbook designed in the format of a gatefold record sleeve. Combining food, music, and humour, the publication features playful recipes such as Bangers and Cash and Fleetwood Mackerel, alongside curated playlists that introduce listeners to emerging artists while they cook. To develop the visual language of the project, I explored play and experimentation by placing food on a spinning record player and capturing the results using long-exposure photography, creating dynamic imagery that merges culinary ingredients with the energy of music. This project celebrates the shared experience of cooking and listening, turning a daily routine into a culinary concert.
