Created as a self-initiated concept for the acid jazz outfit Starve the Moon, this artwork was designed around Hello Strangers, the lead single from the EP. Combining photo manipulation with digital collage, the cover throws three strange, elongated figures into a gloriously cluttered world, following one another through a chaotic pile-up of imagery. The aim was to make the viewer feel slightly overwhelmed, confused, unsettled and maybe even a little itchy. Layers of imagery compete for attention, creating a sense of visual noise and discomfort that felt perfectly suited to the unpredictable nature of jazz.
