For The Amorettes’ fourth studio album, Born to Break, released through SPV Records, I designed the artwork for both the CD and vinyl editions. The concept explored the fragility of human life while celebrating the idea of living fully and giving everything you have.Created as a digital collage, fragmented skulls and bone were loosely arranged into the shape of a heart, surrounded by scattered marigold petals. These added a sense of celebration to the darker imagery, while offering a visual nod to Día de los Muertos and the traditions of remembrance and honouring those who have passed.Set against a backdrop of wood panelling, the artwork also incorporates a subtle 1970s-inspired aesthetic, bringing together darker symbolism, celebration and retro influences into a design that reflects the spirit of Born to Break.
